As it is the Forth of July American Independence Day I am spending the week with my boyfriend and his family in Ashland, Oregon. In Ashland people see to take the Forth very seriously, or at least the parade they do. As you walk Main street the day before the festivities, you find the streets lined with chairs of every shape size and color, blankets and towels duct taped to the sidewalks everyone is staking their claim on the best seats in the house. Of all these chairs the two red ones caught my eye and I could not resist.

@Riya: Thank you Riya.
Quite interesting! Where are the people?

@Shuva Brata Deb: Thanks, all the people are at home preparing for the Fourth of July festivities. It was quite a site to see the streets lined with empty chairs, but even more of a site to see all the people the next day at the parade!
If it wasn't so bright out I would say that this particular image would be a bit on the creepy side. Empty streets; empty chairs. Just a little foreboding, eh? All in all it's a good shot. The fact there are four 'bleak' toned chairs around these two vibrant red ones make it work well.
But that yellow fire hydrant! It ruins things.
Great shot!

@Zane: Zane my love thank you for the critique, and I couldn't agree more with the yellow fire hydrant!
